OpenAssets Unveils Sentinel AI Compliance Platform for Tokenized Markets
OpenAssets launched Sentinel, an AI-powered compliance platform designed to convert written financial obligations into machine-readable controls for tokenized markets.
OpenAssets, a Pittsburgh-based digital asset infrastructure provider, announced Monday the launch of Sentinel, an AI-enabled compliance platform aimed at modernizing the regulatory infrastructure underpinning tokenized financial markets.
Sentinel is positioned as what the company calls an "evidence layer" for tokenized markets, translating written contractual and regulatory obligations into machine-readable controls that can be continuously monitored and verified. The platform is designed to generate portable, auditable proof of compliance — a capability the firm says addresses a growing gap between legacy compliance frameworks and the speed of digital asset transactions.

The launch comes as financial institutions and regulators worldwide grapple with the rapid expansion of tokenized assets, including bonds, equities, and real-world assets recorded on distributed ledgers. Existing compliance infrastructure, built largely for traditional settlement cycles and paper-based documentation, has struggled to keep pace with the real-time nature of on-chain transactions.
By branding Sentinel as part of its broader OpenCompliance platform, OpenAssets is signaling an intent to offer a standardized compliance backbone that third-party market participants can integrate across different tokenized asset classes. The machine-readable approach could reduce manual review burdens on compliance teams while creating continuous, verifiable audit trails regulators can access without waiting for periodic reporting cycles.
